These will take some beating, your not even safe up a tree!!
They make pretty good attack dogs as well, notice the handler gets bitten, hard to control a dog in attack mode even for experienced handlers.

Wow, they are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for posting these video's James its a dog i know nothing about.
Re: So you think you have a high energy dog?
Apparently there are some in the uk and have been shown and at agility comps etc....
I have yet to see any in the flesh so to speak, but doubt they would do well cooped up in a flat with a daily 10 min walk....
I suspect the ones in the UK are a 'watered' down breed version anyway....
They are truly amazing I agree...

Re: So you think you have a high energy dog?
Just done a quick google and see they fall into the Belgian Shepherd dog, i have been in love with the Groenendael belgian shepherd since i first seen one on Dogsey last year. I almost placed an order for one last year but the breeder was quite strict that i'd have to have all my dogs speyed or castrated before giving me one.
I completely understand her reasons.

Do you, I don't,
If you mean one of these http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/belgiangroenendael.htm I know someone with one, no different to a GSD in my view and the one she has is a lovely balanced dog, its entire and lives with a terrier mix and some other x breed type...which are both entire....
This is the Belgian Malinois http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/belgianmalinois.htm which is a completely different kettle of fish.....and would not be a good fit with your dogs in my view....

Re: So you think you have a high energy dog?
Just watching the video's made me aware i'd not be able to have one
They are fabulous tho.
The Groenendael breeder is just worried about her dogs being cross bred and i understand that, the U.K has gone crazy over crossbreeds lately.
Maybe if i struck up a relationship with her she'd come to trust me but a fourth dog is on the back burner until we move anyway, its not a priority.

Re: So you think you have a high energy dog?
Ah right I see, shame dogs have to under go surgery to satisfy the breeders interest....
No wonder many breeds have a closed gene pool...
Perhaps cross breeds are the way forward in many respects....
Its a difficult area I know, but I would never buy a dog with conditions of what I can and can't do.
