Achieving calmness at dinner time Empty Achieving calmness at dinner time

This isn't quite as smooth and relaxed as it normally is as I am also concentrating on doing the filming, this exercise I believe is a good way to get dogs calm around dinner time, in the wild its excitement that gets them their food, so the aim for a domestic situation is too teach that calmness gets them their food.....this did take some practice to start with before you reach this level of calmness.....generally I dont have to do anything and he will automatically lie down and wait for permission to eat....

The reason I have posted this here in Kevin's section is that to me there seems some similarities to his method of a dog having to look at the negative to get the positive.....ie you will notice my dog is looking at me (the negative) so he can get access to the positive...(the food)....its a bit like a cat has to learn to look at a mouse hole (the negative) to get the positive (the mouse), it will learn to do this I understand from experience of chasing the mouse and seeing it always disappearing down the hole, so it learns to take into account of the hole.....

More here about Kevin's negative / positive method.....
