BBC Alba documentary Empty BBC Alba documentary

Post by liz Sat Apr 03, 2010 9:03 pm

BBC Alba (Scotland) are filming a documentary on wolfdogs, its to be shown on Mon May 17th @ 9pm. They are looking for people in Scotland to take part, Steven from Hebridean wolfdogs contacted me to see if i'd like to be involved as they spent two days with him. I think he was under the impression my dogs were wolfdogs but they are not.
He said they had spent a day with CR & SE, i shall watch with some interest and get back to you with my thoughts as you may not be able to access it elsewhere in the U.K.

Liz, you are correct they did spend a day with CR and SE; there were some pics on CRs web. Bizarrely, I was setting up an old satellite receiver the other day at my caravan and got BBC ALBA as it appears to be part of the new FREESAT channels broadcast to the UK.

Not sure about wanting to be at my caravan at 10pm (time difference) as I like to be home tucked up in bed with my doggies about that time!

Hi Wolfdog
It seems they are keen to also find people who have had problems with wolfdogs to give a balanced view and not all just singing praises of how great they are so hopefully it will be well balanced. I'm quite looking forward to it.

James your funny, only 11% of people in Scotland actually speak Gaelic, you have nothing to worry about there.

I doubt i'd have to translate as its more likely to be Gaelic subtitles to appeal to the masses in Scotland, most of Scotlands population is now English, Eastern European and American, we are in historic decline.

I hope i do have to translate as then i can tell you anything i want pmsl Laughing

We are keen in Scotland to reintroduce the wolf, i fully support it and would happily give up my work, house, live on site in a van to help make it happen.

Much is being discussed at present, should i start a thread on it?

Do you mean Paul Lister? If so yes he is one of the people involved, he has a lot of land.

Where will i place the thread? How about having a wolf section with news, conservation ect?
