BBC Alba documentary
BBC Alba (Scotland) are filming a documentary on wolfdogs, its to be shown on Mon May 17th @ 9pm. They are looking for people in Scotland to take part, Steven from Hebridean wolfdogs contacted me to see if i'd like to be involved as they spent two days with him. I think he was under the impression my dogs were wolfdogs but they are not.
He said they had spent a day with CR & SE, i shall watch with some interest and get back to you with my thoughts as you may not be able to access it elsewhere in the U.K.

Re: BBC Alba documentary
Liz, you are correct they did spend a day with CR and SE; there were some pics on CRs web. Bizarrely, I was setting up an old satellite receiver the other day at my caravan and got BBC ALBA as it appears to be part of the new FREESAT channels broadcast to the UK.
Not sure about wanting to be at my caravan at 10pm (time difference) as I like to be home tucked up in bed with my doggies about that time!

Re: BBC Alba documentary
Hi Wolfdog
It seems they are keen to also find people who have had problems with wolfdogs to give a balanced view and not all just singing praises of how great they are so hopefully it will be well balanced. I'm quite looking forward to it.

Re: BBC Alba documentary
My understanding is it will be transmitted in the Gallic language.....hope there is subtitles... , having said that I dont have freesat or sky.... so wont be able to watch it anyway...
Re: BBC Alba documentary
James your funny, only 11% of people in Scotland actually speak Gaelic, you have nothing to worry about there.
Re: BBC Alba documentary
Put it this way my Gaelic is as good as my French or Spanish, i scrape through as a tourist, i always intend to improve on all three, its on that to do list everyone has that is a mile long.
Re: BBC Alba documentary
Oh good, you can translate it for me then....be good practice for you..
I, once came 2nd in my year at school in French, got 97% in an exam....then the year it became it bit more difficult shall we say and I lost interest....

Re: BBC Alba documentary
I doubt i'd have to translate as its more likely to be Gaelic subtitles to appeal to the masses in Scotland, most of Scotlands population is now English, Eastern European and American, we are in historic decline.
I hope i do have to translate as then i can tell you anything i want pmsl

Re: BBC Alba documentary
We are keen in Scotland to reintroduce the wolf, i fully support it and would happily give up my work, house, live on site in a van to help make it happen.
Much is being discussed at present, should i start a thread on it?
